It's true!!!
I was getting Tavish ready for church this morning, his pants are on and I was buttoning his little white shirt when he looks down at his outfit and says "cute....I cute!" I guess I must tell him that a lot :)
Snow Days
So this year's snowstorm hit while I was at work, of course...I was one of the lucky few who actually made it home from the hospital though. Rafal worked from home the next day and here is the fruit of his (and Tavish's) labors...

Groupie
Tavish went to his first rock concert today at Jammin Java in Vienna.
Think Crocodile Cafe (slightly toned down) filled with toddlers at 10am.
Crazy. But fun. We listened to Rocknoceros, a local kids band who were awesome.
At first Tavish listened from my lap, but then he got brave...

...and listened from the aisle...
...and pretty soon he was right up front (that's where all the chicks hang out smart boy!)

Rafal's Fortune

Really???
This morning Tavish woke up at 6:59am yelling for mom, I note the time because I usually fall asleep around 2am when I'm working, so I pull him into to bed with me and try to convince him it's still nightime and that we (meaning he) should go back to sleep. He wasn't having it, he was wiggling around and finally he says... "I want broccoli"...now this kid has asked for mancakes, faffles and chockwit but never has he asked for broccoli. He usually only eats it when it's hidden in something else because we're sneaky like that. Still he asked for it three more times. I just wish I would have had the energy to actually get up and cook him some....

Sweetest Words
Recently I realized that even though we hug and kiss him a lot we hadn't really said "I love you" to Tavish very often, so we started doing it more...and he picked right up on it and here is how he says it back..."Lub-Oh" (so cute in that little 2 year old voice)
When I was putting him to bed the other night he kept repeating it..."lub-oh mommy"...makes you melt until 30 minutes later he's not asleep and screaming for mom at the top of his lungs for no reason....

Christmas Festivities 2010
Christmas was crazy fun this year! I thought it was going to be quiet, just the three of us on Christmas day, but Rafal and Lana had been plotting...
This is my face on Christmas morning...
...when I saw this under our Christmas tree! All the way from Seattle on the Santa Express for five days of fun.
Tavish loved Christmas...cookies and candy canes for breakfast! I'm sure he wished it was Christmas every morning!
The girls got a Wii from Santa...but guess who loved playing it most???
Macy rockin' her party dress at the grandparents Christmas dinner.
We went to see the Festival of Lights at the DC Temple.
And took the girls to our favorite exhibit at the Botanical Gardens...all the buildings are made out of plant material including the Taj Mahal...
a hot air balloon...
the Haggia Sophia...
Look who's trying to sneak under the ropes to get a better look at the choo-choo trains???
It was the girls 10th birthday while they were here and we had an awesome birthday party at Auntie Lana and Uncle Joe's house with make-your-own-pizzas and a Wii dance-off (Grandma Linda was the winner, hands down!)
Some cuddle time with Auntie Sarah...
...and some cousin love...notice how Tavish is protecting Macy from the scary rooster Grandpa Wally felt compelled to buy us for Christmas! We were sad to see them go...but happy to have had such a nice Christmas surprise...
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
