Rafal got it in his head that we should take Tavish to the Build-A-Bear Workshop. So off we went one Saturday morning...
First up, you pick out which animal you want to "build". Tavish picked a dragon...I thought he was supercute :)
Then you get to "own" him. Tavish wanted to name him Tavish, Rafal suggested Fireball, so his name is Tavish-Fireball.
Next you stuff him...Tavish got to push the stuffing pedal all by himself.
Then you put his heart in and the girl sews him up.
Finally you take him over to the tub and "wash" him to fluff up his fur. This is where I'm glad to have a boy because if you have a girl and they pick a girly animal, at this point you then have to go and pick out an outfit and shoes and fairy wands and lots of other $$$$ stuff for the thing. Dragons don't need fairy wands and tutus :)
Then you make a birth certificate, mom and dad pay for it and you have a happy boy with his very cute dragon.Until you get home and he sees the advertisement in the bag with pictures of other animals you can build and he sees the pink and purple polka dotted bunny and throws a fit that he wants to trade his dragon in for that one instead.... *sigh*
