Before and After

Four and half months later...here is what was in those big bellies.

For the record, Susan went in to labor first and baby Landon was born in a pretty spectacular way.

Baby Paxton chose a more calm entrance to the world a few days later.

Babies are opposite of the mamas in the pic.

Rolling Thunder

Every Sunday on Memorial weekend, hundreds of thousands of bikers (the motorcycle kind, not the Rafal kind) descend upon DC for a ride honoring those soldiers who have and those who continue to defend our freedoms. Lucky for us, on their way in to DC, every single biker passes under the bridge near our house. So here we are this Sunday morning welcoming them on their ride. It is truly an awesome sight. The freeway is shut down to regular traffic and motorcycle after motorcycle rides on by, waving and honking to our sweet boy waving his own little flag. Proud to be American.

Truck Day

Every year the library hosts a truck show for kids where they can climb all over and check out different types of trucks and public service vehicles. Little boy heaven.

Tavish is playing outside, I'm in the kitchen getting dinner ready...I can hear him but not see him when I hear a series of loud thunks in the garage...

Me: Tavish what are you doing?
Tavish: I'm practicing!!!
Me: What are you practicing?
Tavish: Throwing rocks!
Me: In the garage?
Tavish: Yes!
Me: Why are you practicing throwing rocks? (this should have been the first question really...)
Tavish: I'm practicing throwing rocks in case Goliath comes so I can be ready!

Four Months

This boy is such a sweet baby! He is so happy in the mornings...all we have to do is say "show me your big smile!" and he does. This is nothing compared to what he will do when the camera is not around.

He loves to "talk" in the morning too and is busy with his hands. He has figured out how to pull the binky out of his mouth and chew on the sides of it but not get it back in straight. He's chewing on things like crazy...it's too early to be teething buddy! And he officially is an allergy mess complete with asthma...just like big brother :(  

The stats: 17lbs. 12oz. 26.5inches

The size 9month clothes are getting tight...transitioning into 12month already!

Field Trip

Tavish's preschool had their spring field trip and boy was he excited!

It got delayed a week due to rain because we are having the coldest spring ever for VA.

So every day he would ask.."is the field trip today???"

Finally it was today...

Driving the tractor with his  T-shaped stick he found on the playground at preschool and has been carrying around since. 

We have been to this farm park probably four other times and this is the first time the peacock has shown us his feathers...but only for a moment.

The most exciting thing???

A slug in a stump.

It was hard to tear them away.
