Baby, it's cold inside....
Tavish is a funny kid. The other day he was wearing his vest during the day because it was cold out, when we came in he wanted to keep it on...ok, whatever. Then when it came time to put his pajamas on he threw a fit when I took it off, so back on it went over the pajamas. Bedtime...he gets sleepy and I try to take it back off while putting him to bed...not only did he refuse to take it off but he wanted it zipped up as well...good night crazy little monkey.

Halloween
Tell me this is not the cutest Eeyore you've ever seen in your life.(thank you cousin Isa for letting us borrow your costume!)
Here he is trunk-or-treating at church. Notice how he ignores everyone who is trying to pass out candy and is just running around with his balloon. He did, however, want to eat all the candy when he found it in his pumpkin and had a wicked sugar high later. On jednak, chcesz zjeść wszystkie cukierki, kiedy znalazł go w dyni i miał złe wysoki poziom cukru później.
There always has to be one sad costume picture, sorry it had to be with you Auntie Lana.
Pumpkin Patch
Marzyłem aby Tavish do Pumpkin Patch i weekend przed Halloween była idealna, słoneczna i 70, więc poszliśmy do Cox gospodarstwach, w których Tavish miał mnóstwo zabawy ...
This was the first of many slides that Rafal and Tavish went on...by the end of the afternoon Tavish was ready to slide solo.
Tavish loves to throw things...sometimes I think we should have named him Chuck because he just chucks everything...here you can just see him thinking "I've never thrown corn before..."
Tavish uwielbia rzucać rzeczy ... czasami myślę, że powinniśmy go nazwaliśmy, bo tylko Chuck uchwyty wszystko ... tutaj możesz zobaczyć go myślenia "Nigdy nie wrzuca kukurydzy przed ..."
He took a crack at driving a tractor, but then thought I need a real tractor...
Wziął crack na prawo jazdy ciągnika i, ale potem pomyślałem: "I need a prawdziwy ciągnik ...
So we found him this one, doesn't it look like he's shifting gears like a pro? He loved it so much he threw a huge fit when we had to drag him off of it because there were other kids waiting.
Więc znalazł go ten, nie wyglądał on wysokie obroty jak zawodowiec?
He was so parched from screaming we had to take a cider break.
There were cows to pet...
Były krowy domowych ...
...and funny pink birds.
i śmieszne różowe ptaki.
Wooden trains to climb all over...
Drewniany pociągów wspiąć się na całym ...
We finished it off with a hayride which took us all around the farm and through a spooky barn.
The funny part is, by the time we got to the pumpkins which were at the end, Tavish was ready for a N-A-P so I didn't even get to take any pumpkin pictures which is what I really wanted in the first place!

Polska!!!
But we had such a good time in Poland I really couldn't make it any shorter.
Our trip really began in September when Tom came and totally got our house in order before we left. If only he could have gotten Tavish in order too...he is not the best traveller and at one point I swear Rafal said "we're not having anymore kids!"
Poor monkey was so exhausted from the flight, he collapsed in his Dziadek's arms as soon as we got there.
I finally got to meet the parents after 3 years of marriage and guess what? they're awesome! They totally took care of us and would insist (twist my arm) that we leave Tavish with them so we could go off and have some fun!
We were so grateful for all of Tom's help we snuck a leaf blower on to the plane for him and now he can't imagine life without it. Here he is blowing leaves in his yard....because he can!
Tavish loved his cousins Agata and Ola and they would play with him for hours.
If you look closely you can see a tear rolling down Tavish's cheek...it's not because Ola is holding him, it's because we're making him go home.
We went to visit Ciotka Edyta at work where Tavish flirted with all the pharmacists. Edyta was nice enough to prescribe allergy medicine for the flight home that is supposed to cause drowsiness in children except, apparently, Tavish.
We also got to visit the family bakery...which has changed a lot since Rafal was a teenager.
This is just a teeny-tiny sampling of the yummy cakes at the bakery...imagine getting baskets of fresh baked goods delivered to the house every morning!
We interrupted Witold from a very important meeting so Tavish could play with him.
Then we interrupted Ciotka Ella's meeting too, but then Tavish was being shy.
Tavish loved all the cool toys at the boy's house...here he's playing robots with Mateusz.
Michal was so sweet and would follow Tavish everywhere and entertain him.
Tavish taught them a new game...flyswatter hockey.
They sent us home with lots of bread from the bakery...Tavish couldn't wait and we had to bust some out in the car on the way home.
Our first adventure, sans Tavish, was to Boleslawiec where they make the most beautiful pottery in the world. I was like a kid in a candy shop! Could you imagine how much hot chocolate would fit in this giant teapot?
Dziadek & Babcia and Tom & Edyta kept Tavish overnight so Rafal and I could go to Krakow for his birthday! Here he is rescuing me from the Krakow dragon...
...it made him so hungry he needed a big bowl of soup.
Krakow was beautiful, we had a lovely time AND we got to stop and visit Rafal's cousins on the way home.
An afternoon in Wroclaw with family...it is one of the most gorgeous cities I've visited.
Rafal went gnome hunting while we were in Wroclaw...look he caught one!
"What? this is my last pastry?"This really was an amazing vacation...partly because Poland is truly beautiful (I think it's Europe's best kept secret) and mostly because of wonderful family...we miss you!

What's for Sunday dinner?

Nutella and goldfish...if you're almost two and your mom lets you pick out your own dinner. At least it's a change from the "mancakes" and "faffles" Tavish usually asks for on a daily basis.
Nutella i krakersy ... jeśli jesteś prawie dwa i twoja mama pozwala wybierać własne kolację.
